Course Overview:
The NRA FIRST Steps Pistol Orientation is designed for individuals who already own a firearm and want to become more familiar with its operation and handling. This hands-on course provides a comprehensive introduction to safe firearm handling and proper orientation for a specific pistol action type.
Course Includes:
- Classroom & Range Training – Learn and practice with the pistol of your choice
- Safe Gun Handling – Understand and apply NRA’s firearm safety rules
- Firearm Familiarization – Identify pistol parts, operation, and ammunition types
- Shooting Fundamentals – Develop proper stance, grip, and marksmanship skills
Upon completion, students will receive:
- NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook
- NRA FIRST Steps Course Completion Certificate – Qualifies you to apply for your Florida Concealed Weapon Permit (CWP)
