Course Overview:
The NRA Basics of Pistol Course (Instructor-Led) provides students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed for safe and responsible pistol ownership and use. This comprehensive training covers essential firearm safety and shooting fundamentals.
Course Includes:
- Firearm Safety & Handling – Learn core safety rules and responsible gun ownership
- Pistol Shooting Fundamentals – Grip, stance, aiming, trigger control, and recoil management
- Ammunition & Malfunctions – Understand components, common malfunctions, and clearing techniques
- Loading & Unloading – Hands-on practice with modern pistol models
Upon completion, students will receive a certificate qualifying them to apply for a Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License (CWP). This course is also a prerequisite for becoming an NRA-certified instructor.
