
Florida Concealed Weapon Permit Course
Course Overview:
This course is intended for experienced shooters who can safely and confidently demonstrate basic handgun handling and safety. If you are not yet comfortable drawing from a holster or managing a pistol in this way, we recommend enrolling in our Basic Pistol Fundamentals Course, which also meets the training requirement for applying for a Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License (CWP).

- On-range shooting qualification
- Drawing from a concealed holster and safe re-holstering techniques

Prerequisites:
NRA First Steps Pistol Orientation
NRA Basic Pistol
Basic Pistol Fundamentals (BPF) or equivalent training - Cost: $150
- Duration: 4–6 Hours
- Ammunition Required: 50 rounds per student
Required Equipment:
- Handgun
- 50 rounds of appropriate ammunition
- IWB or OWB holster with retention (No Serpa or soft holsters)
- 2–3 magazines and a magazine holster/pouch
- Eye and ear protection
Upon successful completion, students will receive a Certificate of Completion that meets the training criteria to apply for a Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License.
